  1. Who we are

Energia VFX Oy, Business ID 3498646-1, Polttimonkatu 4, 33210 Tampere, Finland, is the data controller responsible for personal data processed through this website.

  1. What data we collect

Direct email contact: This site does not have a contact form. If you email us using the address published on the site, we receive whatever you include in that email, typically your name, email address, and message content, and anything else you choose to share.

Automatically collected data: Our hosting provider logs standard technical information (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamp) for security and site-operation purposes.

Embedded video content: This site embeds video content from Vimeo. When you load or play an embedded video, Vimeo may set cookies or collect technical data as described in Vimeo’s own privacy policy (vimeo.com/privacy). We do not control this processing and are not responsible for it. Vimeo acts as an independent data controller for its own embed.

We do not use advertising trackers, and we do not sell or share personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

  1. Why we process this data, and on what legal basis

Responding to inquiries sent to our published email address: legitimate interest / performance of a contract you’re requesting.

Maintaining site security and preventing abuse: legitimate interest.

Loading embedded Vimeo content: consent, where cookies are non-essential.

  1. How long we keep it

Emails and their contents are kept for as long as needed to handle the inquiry and for a reasonable period afterward for record-keeping, and are deleted within 1 year. Server logs are retained by our hosting provider according to their own retention schedule.

  1. Who else sees it

We use the following third-party processors:

Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany), our hosting provider, which hosts the website and the associated server logs. Data is processed within the EU/EEA.

Google Ireland Limited (Google Workspace), which hosts the samuli@energiavfx.com mailbox and therefore processes the contents of any email you send us. The site itself does not send email and has no contact form.

Vimeo, which serves embedded video content and may process data independently as described above.

We do not transfer personal data outside the EU/EEA except where a processor above does so under an adequate safeguard, such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

  1. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate data, request deletion of your data, object to or restrict certain processing, and request a copy of your data in a portable format. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman (Tietosuojavaltuutetun toimisto, tietosuoja.fi) if you believe your data has been mishandled.

This site uses only the cookies necessary for it to function, plus any cookies set by embedded Vimeo players when you play a video. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies. Update this section if analytics, a chat widget, or any tracking script is added later; this policy only covers the current, minimal setup.

They are displayed here solely for portfolio purposes, with permission, and do not grant any rights to third parties to reproduce, redistribute, or otherwise use that material.

  1. Embedded third-party content

Video content on this site is served via Vimeo. We are not responsible for the availability, content, or data practices of Vimeo or any other third-party service embedded on this site.

  1. Acceptable use

You agree not to use this site to attempt unauthorized access to any part of the site or its underlying systems, to scrape, copy, or redistribute site content in bulk, or to send unsolicited commercial messaging to the email address published on the site.

  1. Submissions (careers, reels, inquiries)

If you send us a reel, portfolio material, or other content by email, for example in a job inquiry, you retain ownership of that material. By sending it, you grant us permission to review it internally for the purpose of evaluating the inquiry. We’re not obligated to respond to unsolicited submissions and are not responsible for retaining or returning submitted material.

  1. No warranty

This site and its content are provided as is. We make reasonable efforts to keep information accurate and the site available, but we don’t guarantee uninterrupted access or that all content is free of error.

  1. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Energia VFX Oy is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this site.

These terms are governed by the laws of Finland. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Finland.
